How To Get Ikran
In order to get Ikran as your pet, you must first progress enough through the game storyline up to the 11th main story quest, Take Flight. Unfortunately, this will require you to invest a few hours into the game. Afterwards, once you get the said mission, you will have to embark on the journey of climbing the flying mountains.
The “Take Flight” mission mainly tests your bond with Ikran, which is a perfect way to win the trust of the loveable creature. While climbing the rookery, you will meet the Mount a couple of times or maybe more before you can actually make it your best friend. Most of the time, it will fly away, getting scared of you, but you must keep soothing her until it understands that you are not an enemy(Hold X to Soothe and move near to it very slowly).
Eventually, after considerable climbing, you will reach to a point where a plethora of Ikrans will be resting in one place. Out of them, the blue-coloured one is going to be your companion for the rest of the game story. So, hold X and keep moving forward slowly, and this time, you will see the creature acting in a friendly way compared to your previous unpleasant encounters. And Bingo! The Ikran(Mount) is now your very own pet/friend or whatever you want to consider it.
How To Name and Feed Your Ikran
As soon as you get hold of the Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, you will be allowed to choose a name as well as the creature’s colour from the given options on your screen. Soon after, you can fly high with your companion around the floating mountains, discovering the heavenly nature. However, a small battle will occur as the RDS will attack you in no time(This will not be challenging).
That said, after a good session of acceleration in the open air, your Mount will get tired, wanting some food to energize itself. You can quickly replenish your Mount’s energy mid-flight by just selecting food from the food wheel.
