Crysis Remastered is coming to the PC and the current-gen consoles in September of this year. The game is an urban legend. Upon its release, it was extremely demanding. It’s still a fairly demanding game even for modern hardware. A remaster of the game is highly appreciated and a tad bit strange, as the visuals hold up pretty well even today. However, the system requirements of the PC version are out, let’s take a look.

“Can it run Crysis?” graphics settings

Due to high resource requirements for running the Original Crysis there always has been memes on PCs about “Can it run Crysis.” Crytek has taken this meme to the next level by introducing the sentence as a graphical option in the remastered version of the game. According to Crytek, the “Can it run Crysis?” graphic setting is “designed to demand every last bit of your hardware with unlimited settings”.

Analysis Of These Requirements

The requirements suggest that it’s not going to be as melting on your system as the original. The game, being a remaster is heavier on the GPU side rather than the CPU as most of the physics and AI stuff can directly be ported over to the newer project.

The same with the GPU, both are budget offerings of Nvidia’s current and last-gen cards. This is probably as the developers wanted to create a more uniform experience across all the platforms.
