In the new Eclipse Crisis Event, which is currently underway in Rainbow Six Extraction and will last through September 1st, darkness has descended upon Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. In Eclipse, a new Archaean threat is introduced that must be eliminated using stealth tactics. If you are successful in doing so (as well as completing the other new objectives in each incursion), you will be on your way to unlocking new cosmetic gear and a new REACT tech item called the Aura Grenade, which attracts Archaeans to it before going off. Additionally, a new Operator named Echo has joined the team with his Yokai drone, which can first distract enemies before eradicating them.

Your primary objective when you enter an Eclipse incursion will be to locate the Elusive Neoplasm, an Archaean that stays put unless it senses danger (i.e. you). Once you’ve discovered it, sneak up on it and attack it with a takedown; but, if you move inside its detection range or alert surrounding foes, the Neoplasm will flee to the next subzone. Aim for one takedown every subzone, but if it escapes, you’ll have to make up for those lost opportunities in the final subzone. It would be best if you took it down three times to kill it. Also, don’t take too long! In the first two subzones, you’ll also need to restore generator power, which will require fending off swarms of irate Archaeans.

In addition to being featured with a Ubisoft+ or Game Pass membership, Rainbow Six Extraction is now available on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
