Fallout 76 is Bethesda’s latest role-playing game. This live-service title released in November of 2018. Its initial inception was really poor. It suffered from various performance issues on both consoles and PC. In its original state, there was a very evident lack of quality content.

Since then, the game has received many patches and updates. These have definitely made the game a lot better and players who have stuck with the game are having a lot of fun with the title. What was once an empty world has changed into a lively one, brimming with quests and NPCs.

The recent release of Fallout 76 on Xbox Game Pass has also introduced a lot of new players. With this version, many people are asking about cross-save and cross-platform functionality in the game.

Fallout 76 Cross-Platform and Cross-Save Support: Possible Release Dates And More

Fallout 76 does not have any cross-platform and cross-save support at the time of writing. The closest thing to cross-save support is the ability to carry over progress from your Bethesda.net account to your Steam account.

The game has had a really rocky launch. Over the course of two years, its team has worked tirelessly to improve the game and bring it to a playable state. So, there haven’t been any talks about cross-platform or cross-save support systems yet. But we do suspect that it will be coming out soon. With the release of the next-gen consoles, the player base will be even more divided among all the available platforms. Since the game relies a lot on co-op, the ability to play with friends on other platforms is to be expected from a title of such caliber.

Similar games like Destiny 2 have already confirmed cross-platform support in the near future. This is sure to make Bethesda try to implement it too in its games.
