How to Catch Fish in Genshin Impact 2.1
To unlock this new fishing system in Genshin Impact, players need to unlock the Serenitea Pot System and complete the “Exploding Population” quest. Here’s a guide on how to catch fish.
- First and foremost, create a bait for the fishes.
- Select the appropriate fishing rod for fishing.
- Interact with the fishing point and then hold the Cast Rod button and aim the bait in the water and release the Cast Rod button.
- After the bait is underwater, the Cast Rod button will transform to the Raise Hook button.
- Press the Raise Hook Button in time to catch fish when you see that a fish is attempting to eat the bait.

While fishing, players will also need to keep an eye on the fishing tension line which needs to be in the yellow Ideal tension zone.
