Time and Wind quest in Genshin Impact appears only when you reach the uninhabited island. The island is located in Eastern Mondstadt. This is a semi-hidden quest that requires one to solve a sundial puzzle. This quest also requires an Anemo character. Thus if you don’t have any Anemo character then make sure your Traveler is attuned to the right element. Follow the steps below to unlock the whole quest.
Getting to The Island

There are two ways to get to the island. Since the island is located far away from the land it is quite impossible to get to the nameless island by swimming. Therefore the only way to get to the island is either by gliding or by freezing water and walking over it till you get to the island using Kaeya.

However, an extra amount of stamina is required while gliding since the island is far away. Thus it is advisable to use Amber while gliding as she has a passive that lowers stamina consumption when gliding. You can also eat foods like Northern Smoked Chicken to restore stamina while you’re flying.
Solving the Quest
- Upon reaching the island, find the “Ragged Notebook” item by destroying the breakable rock on the south end of the island and read it.
- Wait until 2:00~5:00 and use Elemental Sight to follow the trail to the first cluster of wind located east of the sundial. This will cause the cluster to break, scattering three pieces around the island. You’ll need to use your Elemental Sight to find them, and an Ameno skill to use on them when you do.
- Locating the clusters– Use Anemo on the clusters located at the southern coast, on top of the ruin on the eastern coast, and on top of the largest pillar. The clusters can only be seen and dispersed while using Elemental Sight.
- After finding the three wind clusters, you’ll need to use Ameno on the wind deposit on the middle of the island. This will prompt a fight with an Eye of the Storm, which will flee before you can kill it.
- An air current will form which will lead you to the Eye of the Storm. This will lead you to a place with a sundial.
- Speak to Henry Morton, who will be standing near the sundial, and/or find his thick notebook in the nearby camp.
- Wait until dawn (2-5 AM) and use Elemental Sight to discover 3 clusters that need to be dispersed. The clusters will be right around the sundial.
- Fend off the monsters that spawn after dispersing each cluster.
- Another wind deposit will appear for you to blast with Ameno, causing the Eye of the Storm to reappear. It will be slightly stronger than the first encounter, and also summon both Anemo Slimes and Anemo Samachurls as reinforcements. These reinforcements despawn when the Eye of the Storm is defeated.
- Finally talk to Henry Morton again to finish the quest.
