Earlier today, Genshin Impact developers’ miHoYo announced the game’s arrival on Sony’s PlayStation 5 console via their official Twitter handle. Apart from the announcement, we did not get much information on the Genshin Impact PS5 release date or any kind of release window.
For players who don’t know, Genshin Impact is already playable on the PS5 via backwards compatibility. The forthcoming version of Genshin Impact for PS5 is supposed to come with next-gen features like faster loading time, improved visuals, high resolution, better frame rate and other similar kinds of aspects.
While a PS5 Release of Genshin Impact is much welcomed. We think, that an update on the Genshin Impact’s Nintendo Switch release would have been a treat to many of the Nintendo users and Genshin fans who are eagery waiting for the game.
Genshin Impact’s PlayStation 5 announcement raises many questions….
- Is the Nintendo Switch version still in development?
- Are different teams working on different versions of the game?
- When will Genshin Impact get a Nintendo Switch release?
- Why Prioritize the Genshin Impact PS5 release over Nintendo Switch when the game is already there?
Now, we should also keep in mind that Genshin Impact PS5 has no release date, the status is “Coming Soon”. But, if it releases before the Nintendo Switch version, then this only means that Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port is facing development issues.
Many of the Genshin Impact fans are worried about the game’s release on Nintendo Switch. A simple development update would be the best way to keep the fans worry in check. But, in the end, that a decision from miHoYo’s end.
There are other concerns like Genshin Impact account security and for some players it’s the lack of end game content, and so on.
Our Opinion on Genshin Impact PS5 Release Announcement
We think that Genshin Impact release on the PS5 doesn’t require much work when compared with the Nintendo Switch version or the 2FA(which according to rumors is already in works) as the game is already there on the PS4 platform. So, we think miHoYo is trying there best on delivering content and the game’s available on different platforms.
Genshin Impact is a free to play gacha-based role-playing game currently available on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS.
