Neko is a Cat is one of those quests that take a week to complete in Genshin Impact 2.1 something similar to Tartara Tales world quest where players had to wait one real-world day to get the next part of the quest. Neko is a Cat is even longer than Tartara Tales quest as it consists of nine parts that have to be completed in consecutive days.
By the end of this quest, players will get an achievement. Read further to know more.
Neko is a Cat Quest Guide
All nine parts of the quest are given below. All the nine parts can be started by interacting with Neko in Asase Shrine.
Neko is a Cat – Offering Box
Interact with Neko in Asase Shrine in Inazuma. On day one, Neko will give you the task of cleaning the shrine. Four spots need to be cleaned around the shrine. It is quite easy to do. Players can either use a hydro or an anemo character to clean up the place. Using a hydro character is recommended because it works better and faster than anemo. Once you’re done, report back to Neko to complete the quest and receive your rewards.
Neko is a Cat – Wooden Rack
On day 2, again go back to Neko and interact with it to get your second task. This time players will have to fix the prayer rack. After the rack is rebuilt, Taisuke and Eiko, adventurers that linger around the shrine, will create new Prayer Plaques to hang on it. Report back to Neko to finish the quest and revive rewards.
Neko is a Cat – The Children
The third time the players will be tasked to find 2 cats around the shrine’s vicinity. There will be a ‘Distance from target’ indicator on the screen to help you find the cats. Hachihou, the first cat, can be spotted on the seashore just beside the cliff. Players need to interact with Hachicou to find the next cat. The second cat can be found on top of a tree trunk. After finding both the cats report back to Neko and get your rewards.
Neko is a Cat – Shrine Recipe
This round, Neko will ask you to prepare some food and will also mention the ingredients. Players will have to find a chef that will cook the dish using the ingredients. Go to Kiminami Anna in Inazuma City who will cook the fish if she’s given some seagrass. Once completed, the player will receive a new recipe, ‘Invigorating Kitty Meal’. Learn and cook the dish and Neko will ask you to feed the cats in 3 locations.
After finishing this part of the quest, you can complete an achievement called “A Cat’s Gift“.
Neko is a Cat – Cat and Stone
Neko will ask you to build a huge stone near the shrine this time. From the Statue of the Seven in Kannazuka, head northwest until an NPC standing in front of a small camp is visible. Recruit Ooshima Junpei and bring him to Neko to complete the quest for day five.
Neko is a Cat – Stone Human’s Trouble
This time Ooshima Junpei will ask you for some iron chunks to make a new tool. Give them to finish this part of the quest.
Neko is a Cat – Shrine Canteen
Interact with Ooshima Junpei who will ask you for some raw meat. Provide him with them to finish this part of the quest.
Neko is a Cat – Ding-a-Ling Metal Ball
On the eighth day, players will have to hang bells around the shrine. All the locations will be given so there won’t be much trouble to finish this quest.
Neko is a Cat – A Good Turn Comes Late
On the last day, there is no task. Just interact with Neko and Ooshima Junpei to trigger the final dialog. They will then receive the hidden achievement ‘Cat in the Clouds.’
