Moonfin Fish is finally available in Genshin Impact as a part of the Lunar Realm event. This fish wasn’t available with the other fish during the launch of version 2.1. This fish also requires a whole new type of bait that you can get by from Kujirai Momiji in the Inazuma Fishing Association.

Genshin Impact Moonfin Fish Guide
Moonfin Fish requires a special type of bait called Glowgrass Bait. This bait expires on September 19, 2021. Therefore it is necessary for players to get as much Moonfin fish as they can before the bait expires. In order to unlock this bait, players need to complete the Lunar Leviathan event quests.
Over the Moon quest needs to be completed so that Moonfin Fish gets unlocked. Go to the Inazuma Fishing Association to get this quest and talk to Kujirai Momiji to get this quest. She’ll then tell you the location of the Moonfin Fish along with the bait and brand new fishing rid called Moonstringer.
Moonfin Fish Location
After completing the Over the Moon quest, you can now catch Moonfin Fish with the 20 Glowgrass Bait and the Moonstringer fishing rod given by Kujirai Momiji. There’s a time limit when you try to catch the fish like every other fishing challenge in Lunar Realm. The more you catch fish, the more would be your rewards.
Moonfin fish are only available at night (18:00 to 6:00). The location is given below. There is a Teleport Waypoint right below the location.
Moonfin Fish is the special fish mentioned in the Battle Pass challenge. Players can now catch five of them to claim Battle Pass points.
