Rainbow Six Siege is an online tactical, operator based first-person shooter game where players take control of an attacker or a defender in equally divided teams across different game modes available in-game such as rescuing a hostage, defusing a bomb, and taking control of an objective within a room.

It is one of the most popular multiplayer shooters around on both console and PC and it’s finally getting cross-play and cross-progression.

Does Rainbow Six Siege Support Crossplay Across Platforms?

In PC, Cross-play is available between PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. This means that players from across all of these three systems will now queue together in matchmaking which should deliver even quicker times. It’s disappointing that the feature is not available on console.

For consoles, cross-play will be released in early 2022, when players on PlayStation and Xbox will be able to jump into games together. It does not appear that Ubisoft will let PC and console players compete together. In short, Console players will not be able to compete against PC and vice versa for now.

Cross-progression is available through all platforms, i.e. between PC, Stadia, and Luna, and it will expand to consoles next year. This means PlayStation players will be able to transfer their progress over to a PC or an Xbox when the feature is available for every system.

Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical shooter game currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC platforms.
