A member of the Uzumaki clan, and a direct descendant of the Hyūga Clan, Uzumaki Himawari is the second-born child of Naruto and Hinata. Himawari inherited the Byakugan from her mother and shares most of her looks, but she has her father’s eyes (when they are not being used for the Kekkei Genkai.) Though she also has the same whiskers on her cheeks that Naruto and Boruto (first child) have.

How Old is Himawari

When it comes to Himawari’s age, the Naruto fandom is always in confusion because it is not so clear as to what her exact age is in the anime or the manga. Himawari was born when Hinata was 22 and Naruto was 23. In the anime, she was born when Boruto was just 2 years old.

However, in the manga, she’s way younger than Boruto as she was shown to be born when Boruto was 7 years old. This might seem a little confusing. No wonder the confusion among the fandom still persists. Since in the anime it has been made clear that she’s 2 years younger than her brother, it is safe to say that she’s 10 years old.

Byakugan

Himawari accidentally awakened the Byakugan at age three in anger after her favorite toy was torn by Boruto. In the anime, her grandfather, Hiashi, openly expressed how impressive it was for her to awaken it at such a young age. When activated, her normally blue eyes take on the white and featureless appearance characteristic of the Byakugan.

With it, she possesses a near 360 degrees field of x-ray vision (except for a small blind spot at the upper thoracic vertebrae), see-through solid surfaces, and can even clearly perceive the chakra pathway system. Despite no prior training for it, she was able to quickly adjust to its powers as well as make effective use of them.
