Want to know how to enable 120 FPS in Forspoken on your PS5? Don’t worry! We have got you covered.

From the makers of Final Fantasy 15, Forspoken is a new action role-playing IP from Square Enix and Luminous Production, released on January 24, 2023. While the game offers different Image Quality Settings and a 120 Hz mode, by default, they are turned off. And in this guide, we will explain how you can enable them.

How To Enable 120 FPS In Forspoken

Assuming you have a TV or monitor that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and offers an HDMI 2.1 port, you can enable 120 Refresh Rate Mode via the Display Settings.

Note: Enabling 120 Hz display mode doesn’t actually make your game run at 120 FPS. But it smoothens the experience a lot.

By default, the 120 FPS, aka the 120 Hz Display Mode in Forspoken, is disabled, even if you already have all the VRR, 120 Hz Output, and other settings turned on and correctly configured.

So, you must manually go to the game Settings and navigate to the Display Settings by pressing the R1 button. If VRR, 120 Hz, or ALLM is enabled on your PS5, you will find the 120 Hz Display Mode setting right below Gamma Settings.

Turning on the 120 Hz Display Mode and taking the fact that Forspoken offers 60 FPS in Performance Mode, you get one frame every 3 Hz. That is, you get three times the smoothness.
