Apex Legends X Final Fantasy VII Rebirth collection event is right around the corner. The new event will bring a ton of cosmetics and items to the game, an LTM associated with the upcoming FFVII Rebirth game and other such things.

While players, including me, are hyped for the upcoming event, what interests them more is the iconic Buster Sword, which is equipable by every legend in the game. In the wake of that, many players want to know how they can get the Buster Sword in Apex Legends.

In Apex Legends, you can get the Buster Sword by opening FFVII Rebirth Event Packs, which you can purchase using Apex Coins and the Gil, the event exclusive currency which you can earn by playing the LTM mode and completing challenges during the course of the event.

Apart from that, the Buster Sword R5 will also be available for free during the Final Fantasy VII Takeover via Care Packages and Ground Loot.

The Buster Sword obtained during the BR matches will have the following abilities:

  • Light attacks
  • Heavy attacks
  • Blocking to reduce damage taken
  • Dash to close the gap
  • Fill your meter to use the quintessential Limit Break

Tips

The more you deal, take, and block damage, the faster your meter will fill. If you don’t find a Buster Sword R2R5 hot off your drop, keep an eye out for them in Care Packages and around the map. – EA
