Persona 5 Royal breaks sales record in the west

Developer Atlus recently published their financial statement for fiscal year 2020 that had information regarding their popular titles such as Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble.

According to the statement, Persona 5 Royal have achieved record breaking sales in the western frontier, mainly US and UK.

The company endured a loss of 428 million yen at the end of fiscal year 2020 in contrast to a loss of 904 million yet at the end of fiscal year 2019.

Overall it exceeded expectations, thereby resulting in a net profit for Atlus and its parent company Sega. You can read the details in here.

Aside sales, Persona 5 Royal was received very well by fans and critics alike and is one of the highest rated PS4 game of this year. The game has a Metacritic score of 95/100.

In other news, Atlus also recently released Persona 4 Golden on Steam which topped the charts and sold over 200 to 400 thousand copies in a span of week, as reported by personacentral.
