PlayStation 5 model numbers and box contents were leaked today and look’s like there will be no more mono headset’s included with the box this time around. Gaming Industry Analyst Daniel Ahmad leaked the model numbers of both PS5 base model and digital edition along with the box contents.

He tweeted a screenshot including the above-mentioned details.

The PS5 with disk drive has a model number CFI-1015A meanwhile, PlayStation 5 digital edition has a model numberCFI-1015B. In a follow-up tweet, Daniel Ahmad did clarify that the screenshot with the box content description and model numbers were taken from a Hong Kong distributor so it can be region-specific.

PlayStation 5 Leaked Box Contents
Both the PlayStation 5’s have the same box contents. They are:
- PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Digital(Depending on which one you purchase).
- Wireless controller.
- 825GB SSD.
- Base.
- HDMI cable(definitely an HDMI 2.1 for 4k and 8k support).
- An AC power cable.
- A USB cable(most probably a type c cable for charging the DualSense controllers).
- Astro Playroom(Pre-Installed).
As you can see there is no mono headset included with the box this time around. We do get an additional item “Base” which we think is labelled for the PS5 stand which comes with the box.

Why PlayStation 5 is not including mono headsets this time around?
The answer to that is quite simple. PlayStation 4 did have a mono-headset included with the box to utilize the 3mm audio jack since day 1. Since the DualShock 4 didn’t have any inbuilt microphone Sony included the mono headset to enjoy multiplayer games.
Meanwhile, the DualSense controller is a wholesome controller which does include better audio speakers along with a microphone. So, you can play multiplayer games and talk with your friends(voice chat) even if you don’t own a headphone.
