Sony’s newest console, the Playstation 5 is selling like hotcakes. Since it’s release in November last year, gamers have been wanting to have their hands on this shiny new piece of gaming equipment. While some of us do have the next generation consoles., many of us are waiting eagerly to get our hands on one as soon as possible.

PS5 Restock Dates
- Walmart: Walmart recently got a new stock for PS5s but were sold out in a jiffy. The consoles were out of stock on the morning of January 9, 2021. There is sure to be news regarding the restock but there isn’t any update at the time of writing. The Dualsense Remote was also available for purchase and the website still has one unit left. Be sure to net this deal in case you were looking out for it.
- Bestbuy: Bestbuy’s PS5 stock was all done and dusted by fans on Saturday this week. The next update will be soon, but they have announced that console orders will only be taken online. So do keep that in mind.
- eBay: eBay still has a whole host of PS5 console bundles on for sale right now. But the caveat is they are priced considerably higher than retail. We strongly advise against buying these pre-owned consoles for a premium and instead wait out on restock information.
- Target: Target sold all of its available PS5s by January 9th. One way to monitor for the stock updates is to follow Twitter accounts by the name of Restock Alerts. The Dualsense controllers and some other accessories seem to be in stock at the time of writing.
- Amazon: Amazon had PS5s in stock until Saturday of this week. The site does not mention any information on the next restock. However, Twitter user @CoolDealCA is reputed to provide accurate information on this matter. Make sure to follow him as well.
PS5 Stock Update Sony
Sony has said that they will be shipping around 18 million new consoles this year. It is expected that 10 million of these consoles are going to arrive by March of this year, which is good news. There is still a lot of news regarding PS5 scalpers, which is a real shame. We, at Profaned Otaku, sincerely hope that gamers get their hands on the shiny new consoles as soon as possible.
Sony PS5 released in November of 2020. The physical version costs $500 while the digital one comes in at around $400.
