Valheim is an extremely popular survival game developed by Iron Gate AB. The game has brutal survival elements alongside clever procedural generated world.
The game has recently grown pretty popular and players are asking for ways to save their game in Valheim, so that they can pick off from where they left next time.
Where is Valheim Save File Location?
The save file feature requires admin privileges, so players with a dedicated server will only be able to save file location. If players have them, all they need to do is pull up the console and type in “IAmCheater.”
With that done, players can now just pause the game and press F5 to save the game. To locate these saves, follow the steps;
- Open File Explorer
- Select View and then go to Options, then hit Change Folder and Search Options.
- Then, click on Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drive, and then click OK.
- Now the save file should be available on, “C:/Users/User/AppData/LocalLow/IroNGate/Valheim/DedicatedUser/AppData/LocalLow/Ironfate/Valheim/characters/*.fch
