Where Will Grand Theft Auto 6 Be Set?
There are many possible locations for the next game to take place. We have listed all of them down below alongside some form of reasoning associated with them:

- London is one of the settings Rockstar has wished to recreate for a while now. In 2013, Dan Houser talked about the possibility of creating a GTA game set in London, UK. He also mentioned a fair bit of issues with the setting and how they could explore the same area with a different IP. One major point to note is that Grand Theft Auto has already taken place once in London, with Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 which released in 1999. But that doesn’t negate the possibility of revisiting the same place again. Ubisoft recently created a dystopian London with Watch Dogs: Legion and it looks stunning. We would love to see what Rockstar can achieve with this setting if they decide so.
- Keeping up with the theme of resisting old locations, Vice City is another contender for the next game. Rockstar recently shared a picture of Basketball player Lebron James with a copy of GTA Vice City last year. This quickly begun discussions related to this being a possible setting for the next game. It also aligns well with Dan Houser’s statements on revisiting old locations. Rockstar could run into some trouble with some of its fans if they choose to settle down with this as they may not be excited about revisiting old locations.
- The last possible setting is Liberty City. The reason for this location is a strange post by a Rockstar dev showing off a Liberty City scene mocked up in GTA 5’s engine. There isn’t much more to this setting except the same fact on some fans being pissed on the prospect of visiting an old location.
