Farlight 84 is getting a major update on July 26, 2023, versioned 14.4.0.0, which is going to add a brand new battle pass, ‘Metro Fantasy,’ a Lottery Wheel, ‘Candelia Vacation,’ and much more.

Apart from the multitude of new additions, the game will also get some major changes and bug fixes that, as a player, you must know about.

    • Reworked [Scout Style Passives]: Enables HP bar observation after aiming the Scope at enemies for a certain period of time.
  • Maggie
    • Tactical Skill changed from [Grenade] to [Tactical Roll].
    • Tactical Roll: Maggie swiftly rolls towards her target, reloading her weapon and purifying herself. She gains partial immunity to negative effects during the roll.
  • Ducksyde
    • Ultimate [Drone Shield]
      • Faster shield release, and shields will be generated faster.
      • Extended shield durations.
    • Tactical Skill changed from [Smoke Bomb] to [Wrecking Duckball].
      • Wrecking Duckball: Ducksyde inflates itself into a spherical shape, enhancing speed and defense while dealing impact damage to enemies with a knockback effect.
    • Shrank Ducksyde’s range for taking damage.
  • MK.R
    • Completely revamped; with new passive skills, tactical skills and ultimate.
      • MK.R changed from [Offensive Style] to [Scout Style].
      • Ultimate [Sky Roaming]: MK.R sets a skydiving device, which can eject the user to a high altitude and enter the skydiving state again.
      • Tactical Skill [Fatal Volley]: MK.R reveals his secret weapon to fire a bombardment of rockets in front of him.
      • Passive Skill [Mid-air Hawkeye]: While skydiving, MK.R can scan and acquire enemy information within a specific range, marking them for identification.
  • Hoarder
    • Ultimate [Hoarder Drop]: using Hoarder Airdrop as a model, increased the amount of supplies in the drop. Also optimized the logic behind Hoarder Drop and its effects in Deathmatch, SOLO, and Training Grounds.
    • Passive Skill [Quick Rescue]: Slightly reduced the additional acceleration gained by Hoarder and her teammates when using shield rechargers.
    • Hoarder now has an exclusive remote that interacts with Airdrops.
  • Lucinda
    • Ultimate [Absolute Gravity]
      • Now enemy units in the area of the black hole will be sucked into the center and take minor damage.
      • Adjusted the slowing effects of [Absolute Gravity].
  • Syfer
    • Ultimate [EMP Shock]
      • Now [EMP Shock] will deal a certain amount of shield damage. All enemies in range of [EMP Shock] will continue to take shield damage.
      • Adjusted how hero and vehicle skills are disabled when affected with [EMP Shock].
  • Ceanna
    • Ultimate [Medi-Ex]
      • Now the medical drone will no longer be able to be destroyed by enemies.
      • Will now only deploy medical drones to teammates who are in range of the skill.
  • Watchman
    • Ultimate [Freeze Defense Turret]
    • The turret will now prioritize attacking the closest, unblocked enemy.

    • Ultimate [Aqua Blast]
      • It is now possible to interrupt skills in advance.

    • The size and color of battle arc visualizations will change depending on the distance of the threat.
    • New type of combat visualization information for parachute jumps.
    • Adjusted Trail trajectories when parachuting.
  • Combat visualization of enemy characters is no longer displayed when the enemy is in an obvious position in the player’s line of sight.
  • Revive: When walking up to a teammate’s Deadloot and reviving them, the loot list collapses by default.
  • Rescue: When rescuing a fallen teammate, the camera can now rotate freely without interrupting the rescue.
  • Items: consumables of the same type will be combined in the loot list.

    • Added a feature of automatically marking “DANGER” after hitting an enemy.
    • New smart marker “DANGER” feature. Just roughly aim at the enemy, tap the mark button, and you can mark out the danger.
    • Markers will now change styles given their position from the center to provide a better view of the battle as a whole.
    • After responding to a teammate’s item recommendation marker, the item marker will remain on your screen for a longer period of time.
  • Voice wheel: Optimized gaming feel for the voice wheel.
  • Hit feedback: Optimized the UI of floating words in combat.
  • Being attacked feedback: New screen effects when players are attacked.
  • Enemy tracing: New outlines of hostile characters.
  • Squad List
    • New status information displays of teammates firing, using consumables, and restoring shields.
    • Optimized the expression of teammate’s survival status info.
  • Reaper: New exclusive performance when becoming the Reaper.
  • Added Wall Run feature.
    • Aim at the wall to trigger a jump, and your character will run vertically up along the wall until the triggering a climb or landing back on the ground.
    • Rotate the perspective or press the “Crouch” button to cancel and drop immediately during a wall run.
    • Press the “Jump” button during a wall run to cancel and immediately jump backwards away from the wall.

[Game Modes]

  • Newly added [WARM-UP] Mode:
    • Brief description of the rules: Players can play as a single team in a warm-up match. They are free to choose weapons with unlimited Deathmatch revives until the end of the match countdown.
    • How to participate:
      • Method 1: [Coliseum] -> [WARM-UP].
      • Method 2: When players are matching for other modes, if the match is expected to take longer than anticipated, the Lobby will show the entrance to a warm-up match, from which you can enter the warm-up match and play while you wait for the corresponding mode to be matched successfully (the mode you want to enter will still be matched normally during the warm-up match). After a successful match, you will go directly to the official battlefield that you were matching for.
  • [Battle Royale] Optimizations:
    • Hero Selection
      • Changing hero skins on the hero selection screen is now supported.
      • When you choose to play at a quality higher than “balanced”, the hero selection screen will show 3D models of the hero.
    • Victory Screen
      • Optimized visuals and performance of the victory screen.
    • Item Spawns
      • Optimized and balanced gun spawns.
      • Reduced the amount of guns and shields in elite chests, while increasing the amount of mods.
    • Parachuting
      • Optimized logic and performance behind following and changing targets during parachuting.
    • Progression:
      • Optimized the model and performance of Capsuler XP, Shield XP, and Shield XP Devices.
      • The location of Shield XP Devices will now vary from match to match.
      • When killing enemies, opening Airdrops or opening chests, progression mission items will directly land on the ground.
      • Players who died in a match will still benefit from the system’s regular Capsuler XP distribution.
      • Capsuler XP dropped from a player’s body after multiple deaths will be reduced by a specific percentage.
    • Music & SFX:
      • Added new music when countdown timer reaches 10s during preparation phase.
      • Newly added sound reminders when displaying poison circle warnings, prompts, and completions.
      • New battle background music during late game.
    • Scenery & Environment
      • Different languages for city names will now be displayed on the mini-map and while parachuting.
      • Newly added underwater effects, and water will no longer block line of sight.
    • Battle Info
      • New display for number of assists and damage value within matches.
  • [SOLO] Mode optimizations:
    • Optimized all UI and interactions, and removed the [BETA] tab. We’re officially live!
    • Can no longer use skills during the preparation phase, as to not carry over certain effects into the real match.
    • When a new character comes into battle, their ultimates will enter cooldowns, making timing more of a key factor when using these skills.
    • At the beginning of the next round, if a character’s HP is below 60, the system will restore the character’s HP back up to 60.
  • [Team Deathmatch] optimizations:
    • Optimized the weapon selection interface. Now supports viewing all weapons on one screen. You can tap on Favorites and stick the weapons you like on the top for easy viewing and selection.
    • Eliminated the countdown timer on the weapon selection screen and extended the display duration of the weapon selection button, giving players more time to select the weapon they want.
    • Now shows enemy nicknames when aiming at them.
  • [HUNT] mode has temporarily been removed.

    • Reworked Carnivale.
    • Completely revamped certain buildings.

▌ Steam adjustments & optimizations

  • Placed Med Kits, Shield Recharger (S), and Shield Recharger (L) into the Item Wheel (triggered by 4 keys), and now supports individual use of specific items by configuring custom keys.
  • New Emotes/Stickers Wheel (triggered by 5 keys, with spacebar toggling).
  • Optimized controller sensitivity.
