How to Start Genshin Impact Spices From the West Event
You can unlock Genshin Impact Spices from the West event if you are at Adventure Rank 20 or more. However, to unlock the Idle Teapot Talk quest and cook the corresponding dishes, and invite characters to taste-test in Serenitea Pot, you must be at Adventure Rank 28 or above.
Assuming you meet the Adventure Rank requirements, you have to complete the Spices from the West introductory quest called A Visitor From Westward Realms to get started with the event.

To invite playable characters to your Serenitea Pot to try the Fragrant Dish in Spices from the West event, you have to first place your companions in the Serenitea Pot. Once that is done, you have to go and interact with them—make sure you have the Fragrant Dish in your inventory.
You will get the option to “Please try this!.” Click on it to let the character try the Fragrant Dish. Feeding Fragrant dishes to characters will reward you with Companionship EXP.
