Originally known as Chi of Guyun, Chi of Yore is another one of Genshin Impact‘s hidden side quest since there will be no blue information mark when you pass the quest giver. Players need to actually exchange dialogues with the quest giver, Yan’er in order to start the quest. Here’s a full guide on how to get and complete the Chi of Yore quest.
How to Get Chi of Yore Quest?
- In order to unlock this quest, players need to talk to Yan’er in Bishui Plains.

- The quest can also trigger by interacting with the quest objectives in the open world before finding the quest giver.
- After talking to Yan’er investigate the ruin. Fight the ruin guard after which you’ll be able to read the incomplete writing.
- Find the 3 strange stones. They will be located near large chunks of amber. Location of them are given in the picture below.
- Open the precious chest after finding all the strange stones. Then you’ll get the fragment.
For the 2nd part of this quest, go to Qingce village and ask some locals about the fragments. Then finally go to Granny Ruoxin. Search near the Geo Statues shown in the map below, and activate them in the following order: North, South-East, North-West, North-East, South-West. You will receive the Collected Fragment. Next, go to the highest point of Qingce Village (shown in the map below). At the very top, you find 8 statues, 4 of which you must activate, and the remaining 4 you don’t touch.

Search for more fragments, and activate the statues in order, starting from the one facing Stormterror’s Lair as the 1st. Follow the picture given below. You will receive the Collected Fragment.
Head back and talk to Granny Ruoxin. You’ll need to find a treasure vault nearby, where you’ll have to take on several Ruin Guards and one Ruin Hunter. The vault will be near a waterfall.
Follow the path behind the waterfall until you come to a gate. Interact with the gate, insert the 3 fragments and choose “give”. This will open the gate. After the monsters are defeated a room in the cave opens up. It contains a luxurious treasure chest. Open it to get the next objective, along with some 3-star & 4-star loot: Traveler’s Handy Sword, Hero’s Wit, Martial Artist’s Feather Accessory, Mystic Enhancement Ore.
Report back to Granny Ruoxin and this will end the quest. As a reward, you will get 500 Adventure XP, 60 Primogem, 1 Liyue Shrine of Depths Key.
