There’s plenty of new content available on the latest version of Genshin Impact. One such interesting event you’ll encounter is fishing. Genshin Impact 2.1 brought many varieties of fish like fresh Koi, Pufferfish, or a Tea-Colored Shirakodai for players to catch for many useful rewards like The Catch, a 4-star weapon. Different fish are available in different regions of Teyvat.

You can find fish in the area that has huge ripples of water. Once you approach that area, you’ll find a “fishing” option. Once you’re through with this step you can start fishing. Fishing is not so difficult and we are here to guide you to make fishing easier.

How to Fish in Genshin Impact?

First and foremost once you tap on the “fishing’ option, you’ll have to choose bait and a fishing rod. Different baits attract different fish. Therefore it is necessary to know which bait goes for which fish. Once you choose your rod and bait, you can start fishing.

Pull down the bait near a fish and not on the fish, as fishes might get scared and move far away from the bait. You can change the direction by just moving your camera. To cast the line in an exact spot, simply hold the hook button and place it on the spot you want it to be in.

The fish will now try to chew on the bait two or three times before biting it. If it bites then you’ll see “you’ve got a bite” written on your screen. That’s when you have to reel in your fish.

The fishing bar has a yellow box inside it and that box will constantly shift from left to right. You must make sure to stay inside that yellow box. If you stay outside the yellow box the whole fishing line will turn red which means that your fish is about to getaway.

Apply enough pressure to stay inside the yellow box until the little anchor icon below the fishing bar is fully charged.

Follow the yellow box wherever it goes and applies appropriate pressure. If it shifts to the left, you stop clicking the button to reduce the pressure on your line. If it shifts to the right, put more pressure to stay inside the yellow box.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha-based role-playing game currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS.
