Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about time was the show opener for Sony’s August 2020 State Of Play. The game is the newest entry in the franchise, taking place after the events of Crash Bandicoot: Warped. There’s a lot to the gameplay here.

The villains, Cortex and Dr. Entropy plan on taking control of multiple dimensions. It’s up to you, Crash and Coco to save the day. The game takes you to varied locales to experience the precision requiring platforming challenges that are characteristic to Crash. The art style has also been reworked in an effort to make the game more animated and lively than what was possible on the original PlayStation.

There are a lot newer elements thrown into the mix like wall-running and rope swinging among many others. Various skins have also been added to the game as a reward for collecting gems. You can play the game entirely as Coco. There are sections where you play as the villain Cortex among many others.

Quantum masks are the new additions to the gameplay that allows you to bend time and space in various ways. There’s also an inverted mode that changes the perspective of levels and adds some gimmicks to the mix.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time comes to the PlayStation 4 on October 2, 2020.
