Valorant is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games for the PC platform. In the game, ‘Remake’ refers to a special function provided by developers to prevent unfair situations where a team can call for the termination of the match in the 2nd round only if the respective team is short of a player or more.

So, to help players, we are here with a guide explaining how you can perform Remake in Valorant.

How to initiate Remake in Valorant

The following steps will guide you on how you can initiate a Remake:

  • Player disconnection: If a player on either team gets disconnected in the 1st round or doesn’t enter the match due to any technical issue, then you can call for Remake in the 2nd round.
  • Remake initiation: To initiate it, you just need to type “/remake” in the chat during the buy phase of round 2. You can initiate a remake only in ranked or unrated categories.

Note

Remember, if a player is disconnected from your team but is spawned at the beginning of 2nd round, then you can’t initiate a Remake in Valorant.

So, being short on the player is a prerequisite; your team must be short of at least one player i.e., at least one of your teammates shouldn’t be spawned.

Further, the player who got disconnected must not reconnect at any point in the game until your team initiates the remake poll.

  • Vote majority: All the players present in-game at the beginning of the round will get notified about the remake poll as you initiate it.
    • They will get an option to choose whether they want to continue the game or not. All the players in your team must choose the option ‘remake’ by pressing F5 to terminate the match. Also, this feature won’t work if you’re in a party of 5-stack.
  • After remake: If the remake happens, then the game ends, providing no score or RR (ranked rating) to everyone in the lobby. Now, you can start a completely new game.
