A factor that can greatly impact your aim is your sensitivity settings. In this article, we’ll explore all about sensitivity, how to find your perfect sensitivity, pros and cons of different settings and we’ll also look at the opinions of different Valorant pros.

Sensitivity in games like Valorant refers to how fast your in-game crosshair moves concerning your mouse. It’s measured in DPI or eDPI both.

eDPI is calculated by multiplying your in-game sensitivity by your mouse’s DPI. For performing with sound aim in games having precise gunplay your sensitivity matters a lot as it is mostly the key factor in deciding your performance while doing 1 vs 1 aim duels.

Sensitivity affects your flick shot, accuracy, recoil control, and overall control in Valorant.

eDPI Range

Here are the different eDPI ranges and the respective Sensitivities:

  • 160-220 eDPI: Low
  • 221-330 eDPI: Medium
  • 331-420 eDPI: High

Firstly to begin, set arbitrary sensitivity. Go in practice range mode and check how your hand feels about the respective sensi.

Make some adjustments according to your requirements and comfort. Once you feel a little comforted with crosshair movement w.r.t your mouse shoot on the practice icon and try shooting the bots with accuracy.

Spend some time, if you still feel like changing your sensitivity do it, and then again spend some time with bots and your updated sensi.

The classic argument among the players in the gaming community is that which sensi range one should go for, low or high but we don’t get a proper answer. The following details will give you a deep idea of both types and let you know which one you want to opt for:

Pros of low sensi:

  • Harder to hit flick shots.

Pros of high sensi:

  • Increases reaction.
  • Makes flickshot easier.
  • Assists in changing your POV quickly.

Cons of high sensi:

  • Aim precision decreases and becomes shaky.
  • Recoil control becomes harder.

Thoughts of Pro Players In Valorant Regarding Sensitivity

1) OPTIC YAY – One the most feared players on Optic’s roster shared his personal views on sensitivity and said that higher dpi doesn’t suit him as it feels a little unstable for him during crosshair movement. He prefers 800 DPI and 0.27 sensi, so he basically plays on 216 eDPI (low).

2)shroud – The former CS:GO star who is mechanically one of the best the gaming community has ever witnessed said that he feels like you can play on whatever sensi you feel comfortable with and dpi changes don’t matter that much as each game has its own style and as you practice any sensitivity more it starts feeling familiar and comfortable eventually. He plays on 400 DPI and 0.8 sensi i.e.; 320 eDPI (medium).

3)Sen Tenz – The current sentinels superstar has proved that sensi is just a number and you can master any sensi if you practice it by dominating among radiants with different sensitivities in each Valorant Act. He plays currently on 1600 DPI and 0.22 sensi currently which means on 352 eDPI (high).

Note

Pros keep changing their sensitivity settings so the above data may vary from the current one, but most pros recommend to stay within 200-400 eDPI range.

Conclusion:

Valorant sensitivity is a highly personal choice and there are no particular settings for all. Remember that practice and consistency are the keys to refining your aim. So find the sensitivity that suits your playstyle by practicing over different sensitivities in-game and starts ripping those heads off in Valorant.
