When will Chainsaw Man Anime Release?

Chainsaw Man is an upcoming supernatural action horror TV anime that is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The trailer which was released by MAPPA on June 27, 2021, showcased gory glimpses and violent premises keeping the fans very excited.

Chainsaw Man Anime Release Date

MAPPA, famous for bringing projects like Zombie Land Saga, Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen, and the final season of Attack on Titan, will helm Chainsaw Man. It was revealed in December 2020 as the announcement was made through the second 2021 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. There is no official release date for Chainsaw Man, but the anime is expected in late 2021, with an October or November premiere lining up with the Japanese autumn television season.

A team of amazing anime veterans behind the camera has been confirmed to be working on the CSM production including director Ryu Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen), scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan), and action director Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover). Kensuke Ushio (Devilman Crybaby) will compose the score, while Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) and Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Devilman Crybaby) will design the characters and devils respectively.

Plot of Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is set in a world where devils are born from human fears but can form contracts with humans to allow them to use a portion of their power. The devils in Denji’s world exist both in the mortal and the hellish world. Denji is aided by Pochita, who manifests people’s fear about chainsaws and looks like a canine  So when Yazuka betrays Denji, it results in the latter’s death. Pochita then serves as his heart in order to revive him, making Denji, a devil-human hybrid, who comes to be known as the eponymous Chainsaw Man.
