A few hours ago Sucker Punch Productions announced Ghost Of Tsushima Co-Operative Multiplayer update titled Legends releasing later this year. Ghost of Tsushima Legends doesn’t follow the main story and is supposed to be played co-operatively.
PlayStation blog describes the multiplayer expansion as,
Legends is an entirely new experience — it’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.
They further talk about the difference between the single-player campaign and the upcoming free multiplayer update,
Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign focuses on an open world and exploring the natural beauty of the island, but Legends is haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action.
Ghost Of Tsushima Legends: Everything you need to know
Ghost of Tsushima Legends is meant to be played with friends. You can form a 2-4 player team(invite or matchmaking), picking from a roster of legends and taking on missions told by the storytellers of Tsushima. Every legend comes under a class with some special and signature abilities that tie in well with the team-based play. The Legends class in Ghost of Tsushima Legends is categorized as:
- Samurai,
- Hunter,
- Ronin, and
- Assassin
Players will face hordes of increasingly tough enemies with some having supernatural abilities which are called Oni(demons). The devs have promised to even add raid missions in a future update. The raid in Ghost of Tsushima Legends will be the toughest missions of the games and will take place in different places. The support that the devs are offering is a really good move as this shows genuine love and passion for their game.
