A few hours ago, the official twitter handle of Konami may have just hinted a Silent Hill 2 reboot for PlayStation 5. Silent Hill 2 is a survival horror videogame which first released on September 21, 2001, across the following platforms- PC, Xbox, PS2, and Xbox 360(late release).

The Tweet was followed with two threads, suggesting the first tweet as a prank and nothing else. However, the last thread in the tweet tagged a new Silent Hill twitter handle which was created in July 2020. At a glance, the new twitter account seems like a fan account but it is not. We may get new updates on the game during the upcoming PlayStation event.
We are sorry we got people fired up. Anything official would come from first from @SilentHill or an event or something, not from us. We were just being fans and enjoyed the noise/memories. Sorry everyone, did mean to kill your Friday mood.

Previous Silent Hill Project, “PT”
When PlayStation 4 launched, a new Silent Hill reboot was going to be released on the platform. Hideo Kojima in collaboration with Guillermo del Toro was going to direct the game. However, things didn’t work out and the project was canceled. In the end, we got a masterpiece of a demo for the reboot which was named “Playable Teaser”.

Upcoming PlayStation Event in August 2020
Sony is going to hold an event in August between 5 to 12th. Recently, leaks suggested that the event will take place on August 6, 2020. However, Sony already has another event planned for that day. So, its highly unlikely that Sony will hold two events on the same day.
We don’t know if the game, in general, will get a reboot or not. Nothing is officially confirmed, however, we can expect it as a possible game which might get revealed at the upcoming event. What are your thoughts on a possible Silent Hill reboot for PlayStation 5?. Tell us down in the comments.
